It’s officially July, and as we pour through the June sales figures, it’s apparent the temperature isn’t the only thing that’s heating up. Whether automakers admit it or not, coming out on top of your segment is a pretty big deal, for internal bragging rights as much as balance sheets. We’ve scoured the numbers to bring you the leaders in the top ten segments, from compact cars and midsize sedans, to crossovers and luxury segments, we’ve got the details. There were a few surprises, such as in the compact car segment, and a few that we could have probably written with a fair amount of accuracy before the month started, such as the midsize sedan segment. And one automaker in particular, dominated our list.
