Luxury Sedan: BMW 3 Series, 10,957 units

Coming in at number one in the luxury sedan segment once again this month is the BMW 3 Series, which easily outsold the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, its closest competitor. The BMW 3 Series is widely considered the top of its class, and despite efforts from Cadillac and Audi to build venerable competitors, the crown will rest with the 3. That figure even beat last month’s 9,307, which was tops for May. Mercedes-Benz has done well year-to-date in the segment, and the C-Class was the automaker’s top seller for June, and up 17.4 percent versus the June 2012. BMW and Mercedes-Benz both had huge months, and the 3 Series and C-Class each played substantial roles in that success.
