3 Row Crossover: Ford Explorer, 15,588 units

Once again Ford has claimed the top spot among three-row crossovers. The Ford Explorer outsold its competition with 15,588 models this month, but that number was shy of the 16,861 crossovers the Blue Oval tallied last month. Starting at $29,100, the Ford Explorer is accessible and stylish, though higher trims can easily break the $40k barrier. The Explorer counts on the Chevrolet Traverse and Mazda CX-9 as competitors, as well as the Honda Pilot, Nissan Pathfinder, and all-new Hyundai Santa Fe. The Explorer helped Ford post a sales increase yet again, 23 months running.
