Hot Rod Magazine to Celebrate 65 Years With Huge Car Show This Weekend
Hot Rod magazine is turning 65, and in celebration of the milestone, the magazine is hosting a huge car show taking place this weekend in Pomona, Calif. Called the Hot Rod Homecoming, several vehicles that have been featured on the pages of the magazine in the past 65 years will be on display.
More than 300 historic custom and performance cars from magazine stories printed as early as 1948 will fill the indoor space at the Pomona Fairplex, and they’ll be lined up in chronological order for spectators to feast their eyes on. Hot Rod reports that many of the display cars have not been in public in decades, and that at least one car has traveled from as far as Australia. That won’t be all the eye candy though, as the outdoor space will be full of local custom cars, too.

In addition to the show cars, Chevrolet Performance will feature its own historic factory project cars, and there will be a ride-and-drive event, too. Legendary hot rodders will also be on hand for autographs. The Pomona Fairplex seemed like the perfect spot to hold the homecoming since it was the location of the very first National Hot Rod Association drag race.
The Hot Rod Homecoming will be held at the Los Angeles Fairplex in Pomona on March 23 and 24. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Head here for more details on the Hot Rod Homecoming party happening this weekend.
