Ford Mustang Boss 302 vs. Baja Trophy Truck: Which is Faster Down Drag Strip?

While many of us like to take our four-wheel-drive vehicles off-road, the guys over at Hot Rod wanted to see how an 800-hp off-road race truck would perform on pavement. On this episode of Hot Rod Unlimited, staff editor Mike Finnegan takes a closer look at Cameron Steele’s Desert Assassin Trophy Truck before Steele tears up the quarter-mile drag strip at Auto Club Famoso Raceway and the big track at Willow Springs International Raceway, comparing its time against that of a Ford Mustang Boss 302 and a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor.

Next, they take the race truck to the drag strip to see how it compares to a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor and the Ford Mustang Boss 302.

Over at Willow Springs, the modern muscle car and trophy truck were much closer in performance than the off-road racer and the SVT Raptor. Check out the video below to see the off-road trophy truck as it tackles the pavement and find out whether the Mustang or the off-road trophy truck was faster on the drag strip.
