Corvette-Powered Last-Generation Chevrolet Spark Hits eBay
Your wildest Forza Motorsport 4 dreams have just come true – someone has dropped a Chevrolet Corvette’s LS7 V-8 into a previous-generation Chevrolet Spark. As the internet would say “mind=blown.”
Built by Fourdin Auto Sport, this last-gen Chevrolet Spark (also known as the Chevrolet Matiz) has ditched its pint-sized four-pot for the Corvette Z06′s massive LS7 7.0-liter V-8, reported to crank out 513 hp. With the LS7 longitudinally mounted, it appears front-wheel drive was ditched in favor of rear-wheel drive. That’s not the only change the tuners made to the Spark; according to IndianAutosBlog.com, they backed up the newfound horsepower with the Corvette’s steering rack, and brakes. Other changes include an FIA-complaint roll cage, 18-inch wheels with racing slicks, and a wide body kit to cover that extra rubber.
That’s not even the best part about the Corvette-powered Spark – the best part is that you can actually buy it. Or you could – until yesterday when the auction was pulled, the Spark V-8 was listed on eBay in Germany for 43,000 euros, or roughly $54,900 U.S. That’s about what you’d pay for a less powerful and less distinctive base C6 Corvette.
With factory-backed Frankenstein monstrosities like the Nissan Juke-R reaching limited production, could we see a small block V-8-powered version of the current-generation Chevy Spark here in the U.S.? We doubt it, but it would make a killer SEMA show concept.
