The new Ward’s 10 Best Interiors list is out, and here’s the shocker: there’s not one Audi on the list. Ward’s evaluates based on new interiors, and the German automaker, widely considered to offer the best interiors, doesn’t have a significantly “new” vehicle. But Audi wasn’t the only omission: there wasn’t a single entry from Europe on the list. What should come as little surprise was the prevalence of Asian automakers.

And perhaps most significant, are the two Korean selections represented by the Kia Forte, and the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. Just a few years ago it would be unthinkable to see a Korean car on this list or a similar one, but Hyundai and Kia have both entered a new Korean renaissance. When we first drove the new Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, we were impressed at the modern, premium feeling interior. And the same can be said for the 2013 Cadillac XTS, or the 2014 Mazda6, both of which made the top 10 interiors list.

The full list of this year’s winners were as follows:

Acura RDX ($40,315)
Cadillac XTS ($64,695)
Chevrolet Spark ($15,795)
Hyundai Santa Fe Sport ($35,925)
Kia Forte ($25,515)
Lexus GS 450h ($68,139)
Mazda6 ($31,490)
Nissan Pathfinder ($44,395)
Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn ($55,390)
Toyota Avalon ($42,449)

Ward’s didn’t have a price cap, and the Chevrolet Spark represented the cheapest model to make the list at $15,795, while the Cadillac XTS was the priciest on the list at $64,695. You can check out the article for the rationale behind each selection. Did Ward’s get it right? Anything that should be on or off this list?
